Farewell to Marrellomorpha Soft parts ever degrade The candle in your hand: ammorza Allow that glimmer to fade Those bladed helmets on their heads may seem to scorn the threat of every shock But demon masks are fragile tissue only Their turning paddle-limbs are but a dream that’s sessile now within the rock Antennae sense no current of the lonely sea the sea inoccultabile vecchia agerasia for all but itself, the sea The fog on the Lagerstätten Obscures the record from view These spines could align or threaten The cold shale never knew No clinging epibiont sponge could hide a body half as well as time Will hide the hexagon of our lives The splendid agile-swimming hordes beside the sharp-shelled crawlers all will climb Above the waves between contorted thriving pines the pines inoccultabili giovane iremía tomb-rooted wood, the pines Farewell to Marrellomorpha Shroud-lorn teeming clade Conserved and recurved con forza Softness never unmade Farewell

Wingspan 04:54
Have you forgotten that vast and delicate wingspan It's been so long but Once they gathered in scores above the horizon There's nothing now that calls for adoration The clouds are drifting in and Such a sky is not for flying We should not disturb the air All that belongs there is precipitation Falling down Falling down Does stifled stirring still charge that skeletal vestige It's been so long but Once we gathered in scores for love of their traces The time has come and gone for consortation The clouds are drifting in so Let that sky be free and barren I don't want to disturb the air All that belongs there is precipitation Falling down Falling down Will you remember that vanished elegant wingspan It's been so long but Once their gatherings scored the clay of the heavens We're far too late to join in their migration The clouds are drifting in so Leave the sky its lifeless beauty Leave in peace the exhausted air All that belongs there is precipitation Falling down Falling down

Aula 04:01
We never knew the ones who betrayed us In the aula of the unsaid We built a temple to each other But dedicated it to falling instead And all of us were licking wounds And all of us were shattered bells And all of us brought ruination to the altar and i’m here to seek an audience with the tenant of this hall i can wait i’ve waited before and i’m sure that i’ll survive i think that i had a warning for you what it was i can’t recall yeah of course i used to live here, i lived here longer than you’ve been alive Still we were beaming all the while The garlands down the longest aisle The night-illumined hypostyle Was not a home but nearly one Our hearts converged on one design Interiority divine The lucent windows, wooden shrine, Our aula's solace dearly won We put our faith in the foundations Aula fortis et formosa We wouldn’t turn out like the others Dissipated in the splinters of law And all this time above the gash And all this time the dull alarm And all this time the fruit decaying on the altar but that was long ago, you know and it all looked different then scarcely can i recognize the shape of our old hall what happened to us will happen to you thanks for having me over again i don’t think much of what you’ve done with the place but then i don’t think much at all We let our trust wilt into silence And from the aula turned away We knew there’d never be another But there was something more we needed to say

Summer star 02:06
He was a summer star The taste of azucar that’s not exactly accurate, he was dull and cruel and ordinary, and i never quite identified that taste He was a searching light Harsh as the blazing night i don’t know why i said that, he was only trying to help me, we were both just lonely wretchedly erased Take my throat and tear it open, please I don’t want to talk about it anymore Let it spill until the night is cold again I don’t wanna see my summer star He burned my tender lung That keen quicksilver tongue that’s not exactly accurate, his words were soft and mumbled so i don’t know why i said that, when i could have just said nothing it was far too long ago to have emotional precision on that summer and the stars and all the waste.

Bridges 06:40
Wait We will stop at the tracks We will watch as the engine and its weight goes by Here At the peak of the bridge O’er the quiet canal ‘Neath the quiet sky They dug this furrow long ago So the turtles could quench their thirst It’s just a lacuna now, i know But it bore meaning first And If we follow the trench To its natural end at the river’s border Hear Though the waterway’s wide With travail it is crossed And again it is crossed And in sequence is crossed in a mundane order These spans may fall beneath the strain Into the channel that once we cursed But we know, and known it will remain, That these waters can be traversed Looking down The river’s pacing Slower now Than at the dawn Forsake thy crown The river’s pacing Why and how Did you put it on How many bridges will you rip asunder o lord How many more How many partings till your final wondrous farewell How many more Fall From the condescent grace To be caught by the light of the /peɪləɹeɪz/ Take As a given the height And the rushing embrace of the missing days The glow is a lattice, ably made With the bound of the long-immersed It might not be colder in the shade But nothing in the set is worst The road Stretches away All will be saved By the void surrounding The hills Rise away tall Beneath and upon The verdure abounding I’m thankful that we trod On the image of our queen Her blessing bears no meaning on the road The worm Thrashes its last Severed in half By the self propelled The ants Nip at its blood They’re rapid and un- Mercifully compelled But it doesn’t take a god To complete the gory scene The wound was from the wound that was the road (the masterless road) Up above The moon is quartered By the gate Of heaven’s throne Forsake thy love The moon is quartered It’s too late To be alone How many bridges will you rip asunder o lord How many more How many partings till your final wondrous farewell How many more Back At the side of the tracks It has all passed along to the morning distance Time To continue the climb Leave the quiet canal to its own existence They cut this pathway long ago So the turtles could find their rest The heat gives way to the scent of snow We are free from all that’s blessed All around The river’s pacing Slower now Than at the dawn Not a sound The river’s pacing Never bow To what is gone

She’s somewhere else Bitter vantage She’s somewhere else Everyone’s allotted fifty revelations in her life, but she only got one If she’d only had the gift of lamentations, then the stifling could be undone If she remembers a thing, she remembers the way that the joyousness felt So she thinks she remembers a thing, but the thing is the way that she’s somewhere else She’s somewhere else Pity routing She’s somewhere else Her remembered her is on the hill at noon among the mists that burned away But presently she’ll take a bitter pill and soon all that persists will start to fray Her mistake isn’t much, she’s mistaken the touch of the breeze for herself So she promises to take a new path, but the path is the way that she’s somewhere else She’s somewhere else Bitten armor She’s somewhere else …Upon her fingers is the taste of bark …In silence lingers that embrace, now mark My words: after the water is crossed, in the water is lost the remembrance that fell Speak now what her endeavor should be, unless it is to weigh that she’s somewhere else

My eye-tooth love, your skull is small It’s small enough to slip between The gears and out from this machine But blades, honed fine, will find us all They’ll wield and twist and coat with blood The fragments that remain So i pray our bones will turn to dust No trace of all our wrath and lust When Lethe takes the final scrap of rust I will still have shared this eon with you My eye-tooth love, the silt will fall No silence promised anymore For those who drown in sight of shore The world is wide, and time is tall And though your touch is leagues away Our present is the same But i pray our bones will turn to dust No trace of any wrath or lust When Lethe takes the final scrap of rust I will still have shared this eon with you
